Time tracking for waste and hauling crews
Crews clock in at the yard, and the miles they drive on the route go on their timesheet. TimeOff Manager does not build routes or record dump tickets.

How a hauling company uses it
Drivers and yard staff on one list
A shared tablet at the yard
The day starts when the truck pulls out, but nobody writes down the time.
Put a tablet at the yard with the TimeOff Kiosk app. Each person clocks in with their own PIN before the truck rolls.
Every truck’s miles for the week
Miles on the route
The odometer reading ends up as a note stuck on the windshield.
Drivers log their miles in the app, next to their hours.
Clocking in from the phone
Phone clock-in for drivers who skip the main yard
Some drivers start their day at a satellite yard and never pass the tablet.
Save that yard as a work location. Those drivers clock in on their phone with the TimeOff Manager Pro app.
Who is off this month
Time off for drivers and yard staff
When someone calls out, the route has a gap and the timesheet has a blank.
They request the day off in the app. A manager approves it, and the day shows on the team calendar.
Who is still clocked in
See who hasn’t clocked out
You only find out a truck is still out when the scale house tells you.
The live staff map shows everyone who is clocked in right now. It does not track trucks, and it is a different screen from the GPS location saved at clock-in.
Approved hours, ready for payroll
TimeOff Manager tracks hours. It doesn’t pay anyone. At the end of the pay period, a manager reviews and approves the hours. Then you download them as an Excel or CSV file and send it to whoever runs payroll: your bookkeeper, your accountant, or your payroll software.
-
Hours are approved first
A manager checks the hours before they go anywhere, so payroll gets real numbers, not guesses from a group text.
-
Overtime is flagged
Extra hours show up on the timesheet, so you can see overtime before you pay it.
-
Excel or CSV
One download your bookkeeper or payroll software can open.
-
Payroll happens elsewhere
TimeOff Manager does not calculate pay, print checks, or file taxes.

Hours go to payroll
Download the approved hours as a file. Dump tickets stay in your other system.
This is not routing or dump ticket software
TimeOff Manager does not build routes, record dump tickets, or track bins. It tracks clock-ins, time off, mileage, and the hours you download for payroll.

Approved time off can sync to Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook. Approved hours can go to QuickBooks Online or FreshBooks.
You can also ask ChatGPT, Claude, or Cursor questions about your account, like who is out next week, through Model Context Protocol.

Common questions from hauling companies
Do drivers clock in at every stop?
Only if you saved that stop as a work location and want a clock-in there. Most yards clock in once at the yard and log the miles for the route.
Is mileage the same as hours?
No. Hours come from clocking in and clocking out. Mileage is a separate record.
Can the yard and a transfer station both be work locations?
Yes. Each one can be saved as its own work location.
How much does it cost?
From $15/mo billed annually after a 14-day trial. Starter is $15/mo for 1–20 people, Growth is $25/mo for 21–50, and Scale is $49.99/mo for larger teams.
