Time tracking for environmental crews
Your crew clocks in at each site, logs the miles between stops, and requests time off, all in the same app.
- 14-day trial
- From $15/mo
- Live demo
From $15/mo billed annually. Starter $15/mo · Growth $25/mo · Scale $49.99/mo.
How an environmental crew uses it
Each site saved as a work location
Save each site as a place
If the crew clocks in at the shop in the morning, you can’t see the site they visited in the afternoon.
Save each site as a work location. When someone clocks in there, their GPS location is saved.
Where each person clocked in
A geofence for a fenced plant
The parking lot isn’t the work area.
Set a geofence, which is a boundary around the work area. Clock-ins then have to happen inside it.
Mileage trips from the crew
Log miles between stops
When the crew visits three sites in a day, the miles become one guessed number.
They log each drive with their hours, and you approve the trips.
The live map on your phone
See who is still in the field
After-hours work is invisible until someone calls in.
The live staff map shows who is on shift right now. GPS history shows where each person clocked in.
Who is off this week
Time off for crews who work odd weeks
A day off can look like a missed site visit.
Workers request time off in the app, and you approve it. Approved days show on the team calendar.
Approved hours, ready for payroll
TimeOff Manager tracks hours. It doesn’t pay anyone. At the end of the pay period, a manager reviews and approves the hours. Then you download them as an Excel or CSV file and send it to whoever runs payroll: your bookkeeper, your accountant, or your payroll software.
-
Hours are approved first
A manager checks the hours before they go anywhere, so payroll gets real numbers, not guesses from a group text.
-
Overtime is flagged
Extra hours show up on the timesheet, so you can see overtime before you pay it.
-
Excel or CSV
One download your bookkeeper or payroll software can open.
-
Payroll happens elsewhere
TimeOff Manager does not calculate pay, print checks, or file taxes.

A typical day in the field
-
1
Clock in at the site
The crew clocks in at the site, not only at the shop.
-
2
Go to the next stop
If you saved that site, they clock in there and log the miles.
-
3
Check the map
See who is still out. This is not a replay of the GPS saved at clock-in.
-

Download hours and miles
Hours and miles go out as files. Sample logs stay in your other system.
This is not sampling logs or compliance reporting
TimeOff Manager does not record samples, chain of custody, or regulatory reports. It tracks hours, time off, mileage, and where your crew clocked in.
Also see time tracking software, TimeOff Kiosk, PTO software, and pricing.
Approved time off can sync to Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook. Approved hours can go to QuickBooks Online or FreshBooks.
You can also ask ChatGPT, Claude, or Cursor questions about your account, like who is out next week, through Model Context Protocol.

Common questions from environmental crews
Our sites are remote. Does GPS still save?
Yes, as long as the phone can get a location when they clock in. The live staff map is a separate screen, and it needs a connection while they are on shift.
Can we log miles between stops?
Yes. Mileage is tracked in the same app as hours.
What about a call after hours?
They can clock in at the site you saved. It does not page anyone or run an on-call rotation.
How much does it cost?
From $15/mo billed annually after a 14-day trial. Starter is $15/mo for 1–20 people, Growth is $25/mo for 21–50, and Scale is $49.99/mo for larger teams.
