Time tracking for mine and pit crews
Your crew clocks in at the gate. During the shift, the live map shows who is on site. A day off is an approved request, not a missing name on the sheet.
- 14-day trial
- From $15/mo
- Live demo
From $15/mo billed annually. Starter $15/mo · Growth $25/mo · Scale $49.99/mo.
How a mine uses it
Who is expected at the gate
A shared tablet at the gate
The sign-in sheet at the guard shack is your only timesheet.
The kiosk turns a shared tablet into a time clock. Each person clocks in with their own PIN.
The mine property saved as a work location
A geofence around the property
A clock-in from the public road shouldn’t count.
Set a geofence, which is a boundary around the property. Clock-ins then have to happen inside it.
The live map on your phone
The live map during the shift
You have to radio around to find out who made it in.
The live staff map shows people who are on shift and have agreed to share their location.
Who is off this week
Approve days off before the roster is short
When someone calls out, it can look like they just skipped the gate.
Workers request days off in the app, and you approve them. Approved days show on the team calendar.
Clocking in on the phone
Phone clock-in for crews at another entrance
Some crews start at a different entrance and never pass the tablet.
They can clock in on their phone at a work location you saved.
Approved hours, ready for payroll
TimeOff Manager tracks hours. It doesn’t pay anyone. At the end of the pay period, a manager reviews and approves the hours. Then you download them as an Excel or CSV file and send it to whoever runs payroll: your bookkeeper, your accountant, or your payroll software.
-
Hours are approved first
A manager checks the hours before they go anywhere, so payroll gets real numbers, not guesses from a group text.
-
Overtime is flagged
Extra hours show up on the timesheet, so you can see overtime before you pay it.
-
Excel or CSV
One download your bookkeeper or payroll software can open.
-
Payroll happens elsewhere
TimeOff Manager does not calculate pay, print checks, or file taxes.

Download hours or approve time off
Hours go out as a file. Each day off is either already approved or still waiting for you.
This is not production tons or an incident log
TimeOff Manager does not record tons, equipment hours, or safety incidents. It tracks who clocked in, their time off, and the hours you download for payroll.
Also see time tracking software, TimeOff Kiosk, PTO software, and pricing.
Approved time off can sync to Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook. Approved hours can go to QuickBooks Online or FreshBooks.
You can also ask ChatGPT, Claude, or Cursor questions about your account, like who is out next week, through Model Context Protocol.

Common questions from mines
Gate tablet or phone?
Either one works. The kiosk is the shared tablet at the gate. The phone app is for clocking in on your own phone, and you can require GPS on the phone.
Does it handle rotating shifts?
Schedules show who was expected to work, and people still clock in and out. It does not build a mine plan.
Can contractors use the gate tablet?
Only if they are employees in your account.
How much does it cost?
From $15/mo billed annually after a 14-day trial. Starter is $15/mo for 1–20 people, Growth is $25/mo for 21–50, and Scale is $49.99/mo for larger teams.
