Time tracking for survey crews
Survey crews clock in on their phone at the parcel, not only at the office. The miles they drive between jobs are saved with their hours.

How a survey company uses it
Parcels saved as work locations
Each parcel is saved as a work location
If the crew only clocks in at the office, you can’t see the day they spent in the field.
Save each job as a work location. When someone clocks in there, TimeOff Manager saves their GPS location.
Who is off this month
Office time off on the same calendar
Someone in the office takes a day off, and the field crew doesn’t know.
Office staff request time off in the same account. Once it is approved, it shows on the team calendar for everyone.
Every crew’s miles for the week
Miles between jobs
The drive can take half the day, but none of it shows up on the timesheet.
Crews log their miles in the same app they clock in with, so the drive sits next to their hours.
Who is clocked in right now
Where they clocked in, and who is still out
Where a crew started the day and who is still in the field are two different questions.
GPS history shows where each person clocked in. The live staff map shows who is clocked in right now.
Each person’s hours for the week
Both people on a two-person crew clock in
One person clocks in for the job, and the other person’s hours go missing.
Each employee clocks in for themselves. If both people clocked in, you see both on the timesheet.
Approved hours, ready for payroll
TimeOff Manager tracks hours. It doesn’t pay anyone. At the end of the pay period, a manager reviews and approves the hours. Then you download them as an Excel or CSV file and send it to whoever runs payroll: your bookkeeper, your accountant, or your payroll software.
-
Hours are approved first
A manager checks the hours before they go anywhere, so payroll gets real numbers, not guesses from a group text.
-
Overtime is flagged
Extra hours show up on the timesheet, so you can see overtime before you pay it.
-
Excel or CSV
One download your bookkeeper or payroll software can open.
-
Payroll happens elsewhere
TimeOff Manager does not calculate pay, print checks, or file taxes.

Hours go to payroll
Download the approved hours as a file. Drawings stay in your CAD software.
This is not CAD or deed research software
TimeOff Manager does not store drawings, research deeds, or calculate boundaries. It tracks hours, time off, mileage, and where each person clocked in.

Approved time off can sync to Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook. Approved hours can go to QuickBooks Online or FreshBooks.
You can also ask ChatGPT, Claude, or Cursor questions about your account, like who is out next week, through Model Context Protocol.

Common questions from surveyors
Can field crews and office staff use the same account?
Yes. Field staff clock in and out. Office staff can use it just for time off, without clocking in every day.
Does it log miles between jobs?
Yes. Mileage is a separate record from the GPS location saved at clock-in.
Does the live map record the path the crew walks on a survey?
No. It shows who is clocked in right now. It does not record a survey track.
How much does it cost?
From $15/mo billed annually after a 14-day trial. Starter is $15/mo for 1–20 people, Growth is $25/mo for 21–50, and Scale is $49.99/mo for larger teams.
