Time tracking for civil crews

Your crew clocks in at the right-of-way or the yard, and their GPS location is saved with that clock-in. During the shift, a separate live map shows who is still out.

From $15/mo billed annually. Starter $15/mo · Growth $25/mo · Scale $49.99/mo.

How a civil crew uses it

Save the job site as a place

A clock-in at the yard doesn’t prove the crew made it to the right-of-way.

Save the site as a work location. When someone clocks in there, their GPS location is saved.

Update the site when the job moves

A geofence for a job that moves

On road work, the job site moves down the road during the week.

When the site moves, update the work location. The geofence, a boundary that clock-ins have to fall inside, stays on the place you saved. It does not follow the crew on its own.

Mileage trips from the crew

Log miles between the yard and the site

Truck time between the yard and the site often turns into an argument on Friday.

Workers log their mileage in the same app as their hours, and a manager approves the trips.

Who is out now, and where they started

You want to know who is still out right now, and also where each person started the day.

The live staff map shows who is still out. GPS history shows where each person clocked in.

Who is off this week

Time off, so an absence isn’t a mystery

When someone calls out, it can look like they just forgot to clock in.

Workers request time off in the app. Approved time off shows on the same team calendar, so you know who is off and why.

Approved hours, ready for payroll

TimeOff Manager tracks hours. It doesn’t pay anyone. At the end of the pay period, a manager reviews and approves the hours. Then you download them as an Excel or CSV file and send it to whoever runs payroll: your bookkeeper, your accountant, or your payroll software.

  • Hours are approved first

A manager checks the hours before they go anywhere, so payroll gets real numbers, not guesses from a group text.

  • Overtime is flagged

Extra hours show up on the timesheet, so you can see overtime before you pay it.

  • Excel or CSV

One download your bookkeeper or payroll software can open.

  • Payroll happens elsewhere

TimeOff Manager does not calculate pay, print checks, or file taxes.

Common questions from civil contractors

The site moves during the week. Can the clock-in location move with it?

Yes. Save the current work area as a work location, and update it as the job moves down the road. GPS is saved each time someone clocks in.

Does a geofence replace the live map?

No. A geofence checks where someone clocks in. The live staff map shows who is on shift right now.

Can subcontractors clock in?

Only people you add as employees in your account can clock in. There is no separate portal for subcontractors.
