How local government teams use it
Requests waiting for a manager
Office staff request time off in the app
Asking for a day off often means sending an email to a shared inbox.
Office staff request time off and see their balance. A manager approves or declines it, all in TimeOff Manager.
Where the crew clocked in
Field crews clock in at the yard
Field crews and office staff should not share one paper sign-in sheet.
Save the yard as a work location. You can require GPS when crews clock in on their phones.
Clocking in with a PIN
A shared tablet where phones stay in lockers
Some shops don’t want phones out on the floor.
Put the TimeOff Kiosk on a shared tablet. Each person clocks in and out with a personal PIN.
Staff time off through the year
US and Canadian holidays are already loaded
The day a holiday is observed and the official holiday date often get mixed up.
US and Canadian public holidays are already on the list. If you stay open on one of them, you can hide it.
Who was expected on each crew
Crew schedules show who should be working
Who was supposed to work the route is written on a whiteboard.
Employee schedules show who was expected. The clock-in shows who actually came in.
Approved hours, ready for payroll
TimeOff Manager tracks hours. It doesn’t pay anyone. At the end of the pay period, a manager reviews and approves the hours. Then you download them as an Excel or CSV file and send it to whoever runs payroll: your bookkeeper, your accountant, or your payroll software.
-
Hours are approved first
A manager checks the hours before they go anywhere, so payroll gets real numbers, not guesses from a group text.
-
Overtime is flagged
Extra hours show up on the timesheet, so you can see overtime before you pay it.
-
Excel or CSV
One download your bookkeeper or payroll software can open.
-
Payroll happens elsewhere
TimeOff Manager does not calculate pay, print checks, or file taxes.

What it doesn’t do
TimeOff Manager is not permitting or case software. It does not store permits, cases, or citizen records, and it does not claim any federal security certification. It tracks staff time off, holidays, clock-ins, and the hours you download for payroll.

Approved time off can sync to Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook. Approved hours can go to QuickBooks Online or FreshBooks.
You can also ask ChatGPT, Claude, or Cursor questions about your account, like who is out next week, through Model Context Protocol.
